Birdlist and trip report by Arne Jensen
I went on a very early morning back to this great protected
area. We are in the start of the breeding season and many
of the resident species were showing breeding display and
were vocal and singing. First to start the dawn chorus at
0450 were the Blackish Cuckoo-shrikes while the owls still
were calling. The Crested Serpent-Eagle also made great aerial
display flights. Although the streams are nearly dried out
and the forest is tinder dry (be VERY careful with open fire
or avoid it!) still new species were added to my area list
and perhaps to the overall list of this area (see below).

About
7.15 that morning I met with Mike, Nilo and Singaporean bird
photographer Ivor Lee for a few hours birding together before
I returned back to Manila.
