Whimbrel

Scientific name:	Numenius phaeopus
Habitat:	Along coasts in grassy marshes, mud and exposed coral flats, beaches and sometimes in ricefields
Birdwatch note:	Alternating dark brown and buff stripes on head. Common, as some birds may oversummer.
