Streptopelia tranquebarica
Habitat:
Open country or lawns, often seen resting in trees or telephone lines
Birdwatch note:
Plump short tailed brown dove with diagnostic narrow black collar. Usually seen in pairs or small groups. Club members have seen a good 40+ birds perched on phone lines at the BFAR in Munoz, Nueva Ecija in November 2004.
