Philippine Trogon

Scientific name:	Harpactes ardens
Habitat :	Forest and second growth.
Birdwatch note :	Endemic species. Strinkingly beautiful, sexes differ, small variations in color and size between the 5 races. Alone or in pairs, usually perched in the dark recess in the understory, flying out to obtain a fruit from a nearby tree.
