Calayan Rail

Scientific name:	Gallirallus calayanensis
Habitat:	Forested areas near streams.
Birdwatch note:	Dark olive brown body. Bill and legs are bright red-orange. Accidentally discovered in 2003 by WBCP founding member Carmela Espanola while on an expedition in the Babuyan Islands. Found only on Calayan Island.
