Scientific name:

Oriolus chinensis

Habitat:

Forest edge, second growth, scrub and trees in cultivated areas and gardens.

Birdwatch note:

Fairly tame and noisy, can be heard from far away.
Common inside the La Mesa watershed but also recorded in UP Diliman.
A record 20+ birds were seen at the American Cemetery in the 3rd quarter of 2004.
