Birdwatch note: |
All white plumage with black
legs and bill. While feeding moves spatulate bill back and
forth in shallow water. Flies with neck outstretched. Rare
winter migrant in Manila, Bulacan and Pangasinan last recorded
in 1914. |

1. Three birds recorded in Batanes in December
2001(DENR Region1).
2. Three birds recorded in Iwahig fishponds (Palawan) in December
2003 until September 2004. Recorded by Todd Pepper and Arnel
Mallari.
3. One bird recorded in Batanes in December 2005 (Byron Peralta).
4. One bird recorded in Candaba Marsh in January 11, 2009 (Rey
Sta. Ana) and in San Fernando (Pampanga) in February 6, 2009
(JP Carino). |
