1. Sponsorship Committee – Felix Servita, and
Souvenir Program Committee – Trinket Canlas & Adri
A total P 118,000.00 has been pledged for the souvenir program.
Private notices will be sent to the members to send in their
ads and pledges.
For the souvenir program, the following persons have yet to
send in their articles: Mark Villa, Alice Villa-Real, Rudy
de Mesa, Ricky de Castro, Caloy Libosada, Aldrin Mallari,
Jon Villasper, Arne Jensen, Anna Gonzales, Tintin Telesforo,
Gregg Yan, Lydia Robledo.
Bird photos will be solicited from the member-photographers.
2. Exhibitors Committee – Cel Tungol and Mark
Foreign bird clubs Korea Wild Bird Society and Wild Bird Society
of Japan backed out of the festival. Their slots will be given
to the organizations on the waitlist.
The coloring booth will be set-up in the oval to be manned
by Leni Sutcliffe and company.
The face-painting booth will be manned by members of the Bataan
Arts Society based on designs of Jon Villasper.
3. Venue and Exhibits Committee – Chary Dino,
Jon Villasper & Arnel Telesforo
The City of Balanga has shown us a sketch of the production
design for the stage. Direk Chary has suggested to put a "cloth"
or what could be a replica of a screen and then beam a live
video from a back projector. Videos of clouds passing by or
a flocks of birds flying to divide the space and to also offer
an interesting backdrop. The cloth will be provided by the
City of Balanga and Arnel Telesforo has volunteered to provide
Direk Chary has requested for key persons to be provided with
headsets during the bird fest. She will be asked to verify
if it will be more cost-effective to rent or purchase the
Direk Chary cannot make it to the ingress on October 8 and
has requested for a site inspection of the festival venue
on the Sunday prior to the festival proper. It was suggestedrequested
that she inspect the venue during the Ms Bataan pageant to
be held on September 20.
Anna Gonzales has suggested that a pair of sound monitors
be put onstage as well.
Arnel Telesforo has designed bird festival car stickers. Balanga
City has requested 3300 pieces. WBCP will print another 200
Balanga City will print 2000 flaglets featuring the bird fest
logo for the students. These may also be used on the cars.
Balanga City has erected a poster announcement of the bird
festival at the Dinalupihan exit of the SCTEX leading to the
towns in Bataan.
Bird fest poster and tarp will be designed by Arnel Telesforo
as soon as the sponsors and delegate list has been finalized.
4. Program Committee – Anna Gonzales & Alice
Aldrin Mallari has yet to send in the proposed program for
the Bird Conservation Forum to be held for NGOs, DENR, DepEd
and other LGUs on the afternoon of October 8 at the Crown
My Zoo Foundation cannot make it to the bird festival due
to unavailability of volunteers.
Their slot in the program will be replaced.
8 local NGOs have volunteered to conduct 30-minute lectures
for selected high school and college students at the Bulwagan
behind the People’s Center. Photo exhibit of water birds
will also be mounted in this area. The lecture schedule are
as follows: October 9 at 10 am, 11am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30
pm and October 10 at 9 am, 10 am, 11am.
5. Logistics Committee – Ixi Mapua & Mel
Pending finalization of the delegate list, rooms will be reserved
at Crown Royale Hotel and the Hillside Hotel.
Regarding the departure for Balanga on October 8, Ixi Mapua
will be the coordinator for the bus leaving from Manila and
Jon Villasper will be the coordinator for the bus leaving
from Quezon City.
