3. Stage design for festival venue was presented and WBCP
members proposed a video montage on the center of the stage
to prepared by Arnel Telesforo.
4. Exhibitors Committee – Mark Villa and Cel Tungol
The outdoor exhibits will be located at the Capitol Oval.
Half of the oval is allocated for bird fest exhibitors. The
other half will be used for a trade fair of different towns
in Bataan sponsored by the Provincial government of Bataan.
20 tents (sized 3m x 3m) can be accommodated in the perimeter
for the exhibitors. 2 tents for WBCP will be set-up on one

Birdwatch Palawan had requested sponsorship for 8 delegates.
As we are only sponsoring 2 delegates per organization, the
festival committee has decided to sponsor the meals of the
delegates provided the lodging expenses are paid for by Birdwatch
Palawan. Birdwatch Palawan will be informed of our decision.
5. Venue and Exhibit Committee – Chary Dino, Jon Villasper,
& Arnel Telesforo
Columbia has offered to print 200 festival t-shirt. Festival
committee requested the following breakdown: XL-25, L-75,
Mel Tan wil finalize the food selection for the lunch buffet
for the dates October 9 and 10.
6. Programs Committee – Anna Gonzales & Alice Villa-Real
Bird Migration lecture by Lala Espanola will be changed to
another topic as Lala will not be able to make it to the festival.
Leni Sutcliffe has proposed a bird call lecture based on the
presentation the group made for blind children. Arnel Telesforo
will be asked to prepare this lecture.
Local environmental organizations have volunteered to conduct
simultaneous lectures for high school and college students
at the Bulwagan during the festival.
7. Logistics Committee – Ixi Mapua
The Department of Tourism is sponsoring 20 rooms at the Traders
Hotel in Manila for October 7-8. WBCP will sponsor the rooms
of local delegates at the Orchid Garden Suites. The Welcome
Dinner in Manila has been moved to Casa Blanco in the Plaza
San Luis complex in Intramuros. The bus will pick-up delegates
at 5:30 pm and give a tour of Casa Manila before the dinner
to be tendered by DOT Secretary Ace Durano.
Genesis Transport is providing 2 buses for the trip to Balanga-Manila
and back. It was suggested that one bus pick-up[ delegates
in Manila and another bus to pick-up delegates at the Villa-Real
residence in Quezon City.
