Jr. - Wild Bird Monitoring at Cordova Wetlands
First Recipient of the Honey Lu Fund for Conservation and
Exploration
The WBCP Executive Committe and the Honey Lu
Conservation Fund Committee, wishes to announce the approval
of Nilo Arribas Jr.'s proposed "Wild Bird Monitoring
at Cordova Wetlands."
Objectives:
To be able to identify wild birds occurring in the area over a period of one (1)
year starting April 2007 to March 2008. The second phase shall cover the Asian
Waterbird Census as part of the monitoring activity for January 2008.
Promote awareness on the importance of the wetlands focusing on
congregatory/wetlands birds in the locality.

Mr Arribas will receive PhP 1,950.00 to cover transport costs for 13
trips until September 2007. The project is also supported by Idea Wild and assistance
from Margery Brandt, Marilyn and Jim Belfiore, who have provided the necessary equipment
for the project. Mr. Arribas has also provided his own funds to cover other expenses.
Mr. Arribas is to post regular reports for every trip in the prescribed
format and will come up with a short summary report with significant findings at the end
of the project period. The report will be published on the club website
