Participants: Kitty Arce, James Asprer, Tere Cervero, Chary Dino, Nena Espanola, Anna Gonzales, Nonnie Jeruta, Jhoel Jorda, Mike Lu, Ixi Mapua, Mikeli Mapua, Jasmin Meren, Alain Pascua, Felix Servita, Mel Tan, Arnel Telesforo, Tintin Telesforo, Alex Tiongco, Mark Villa, Alice Villa-Real, Jon Villasper

Meeting Minutes:

1. Committee members have decided on the theme of the 1st Asian Bird Fair: “Nurture Nature, Save our Future”

2. WBCP members will be in Davao to attend Philippine Eagle Week festivities at the SM City Davao on June 12 and the public launching of the 1st Asian Bird Fair at the NCCC Mall on June 13 at 2:00 pm. Launch activities include film-showing, coloring and origami for the general public for free.

3. A separate media launch will be scheduled in July/August. The program will include video presentation of the 5th Philippine Bird festival, a backgrounder on the Asian Bird Fair, testimonial from Balanga City Mayor Joet Garcia and an acceptance speech from Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte. A media kit will be prepared for distribution to the attendees.

4. Committee reports:

Sponsorship Committee – Felix Servita
- The Philippine Association of Wildlife Veterinarians (PAWV) pledged to co-sponsor the Conservation Forum
- For the souvenir program, a total P 64,500.00 and US $ 100.00 were pledged as follows: Inside front cover: Tina & Wency Mallari, Inside back cover: Miguel Lascano, Full page ads: Kaakbay, Kirschner Travel, Peter & Leni Sutcliffe, Ixi Mapua, Villa Escudero, Mark Wallbank, Papemelroti, Company North Borneo Safari and Quarter page ad: 1st True Bank.
- Other organizations, including foreign and Davao-based groups, are being tapped to participate as fair sponsors. The organizations will remain unidentified until sponsorship has been finalized.

Delegates Committee – Tere Cervero/Kitty Arce
- The following organizations have confirmed and committed to send delegates (in parenthesis): Chinese Wild Bird Federation (3), Wild Bird Society of Taipei, Wild Bird Society of Tainan(1), Nature Society Singapore (4), Malaysian Nature Society (2), Bird Conservation Society of Thailand, Borneo Bird Club (3), Hong Kong Birdwatching Society (3), Shanghai Wild Bird Society (2), Biodiversity and Nature Conservation Association (2), Oriental Bird Club (1)
- Invitations have been sent to the following local organizations: Katala Foundation, WWF-Philippines, Fauna & Flora International, Conservation International, Cebu Biodiversity and Conservation Foundation, Isla Biodiversity Conservation, My Zoo Foundation, Philippine Bird Photographers, Kaakbay
- The Club has committed to shoulder the board and lodging for two delegates per organization. Additional delegates will be charged at US $ 200.00/delegate.

Logistics Committee – Carmela Balcazar/Mel Tan
- For delegates spending a night in Manila, the Dept of Tourism will welcome and assist the delegates at the airport. The WBCP has reserved 5 rooms at the Orchid Garden Suites at P 2000.00/nt including breakfast. The cost of the rooms will be shouldered by the delegates.
- For delegates arriving in Davao, the Davao City government will welcome and assist them at the airport and provide transport to the hotel
- Insular Waterfront Hotel quoted the following room rates: Superior @ P 2400.00 net and De Luxe at P 2800.00 net.
- Marco Polo Hotel Davao quoted the following room rates: Superior @ P 4500.00 net and De Luxe at P 4800.00 net

Programs Committee – Anna Gonzales/Arnel Telesforo
- The tentative schedule of activities will be posted on the Club website
- The number of tents and the number of tents available are to be provided by the City Hall
- The dimensions of the stage and the size of the fair grounds are to be provided by the Waterfront Insular Hotel
- The committee will work on a script for the program hosts so that important details/information will not be missed out
- Another meeting will be set to go through the programs
- Chary Dino will be the director of the program. She will look for contacts in Davao to supply the technical requirements

Visual Art Committee – Jon Villasper
- Arnel Telesforo has designed a festival launch t-shirt
- Tarps and stickers have also been designed and will be used at the public launching in Davao.
